Any quilter interested in designing art quilts would be well-served to visit Caryl Bryer Fallert’s website. Fallert doesn’t just provide images of her finished quilts, she describes the design process in detail, helping other quilters better understand her thoughts and ideas as she works through the design and the makes it a reality.
Fallert’s quilt Corona #2 is fantastic. But the image is not only breathtaking, Fallert also describes her design process. She shares images of the initial drawings, of the fabric as she places it on the full-scale drawings. It’s beautiful, and it gives me hope. It helps me understand–even if just a little–how she made these images real in fabric.
Thank you, Caryl!
