The Carnegie Center for Art and History will present the exhibit, “Pathways and Stepping Stones: The Art Quilts of Juanita Yeager,” May 23-July 19, 2008. The opening reception is on Friday May 23, 6-8 pm, and the event is free and open to the public.

Juanita Yeager is the reason I quilt. I took a beginning quilt class with her nearly 17 years ago. Her work was profound, and I learned to love the stitching and the color and the feel of fabric. I remember her bringing in one of her floral art quilts. I took my breath away.

Juanita will be teaching several classes May 19, 20, and 22, and she will present a free gallery talk on Saturday May 24 at 10 am. For more information, contact the museum,
