Branching Out

This week’s Mixed Media Monday challenge was “Nature.” I like nature as a theme. It’s one of the reasons I like artists like Sharon McCartney. I considered using imagery similar to McCartney’s, but if just didn’t seem right this time. So my work became a bit more abstract.

This quilt is intended to be branches in a forest. If you look up into the evening sky, you might see my branches, with glints of sparkle from a spider’s web or a star or two, and feathers of birds roosting.
