Flowers of spring

Mixed Media Monday challenged us to use spring colors for this week’s challenge. When I think of spring colors, my thoughts turn to flowers. Flowers are such a promise each year. Flowering trees begin to bloom before spring has officially arrived. The crocus and daffodils brighten those first chilly days of spring.

I completed this silk painting back in November. I guess I was already mourning the cold months and dreaming of spring.
